X Moto All Season Transition Jacket & Pants

I just finished my first ride equipped with the X Moto Jacket and Pants - in a word - FANTASTIC! I started off at mid-day here in South central Colorado with the jacket and pants in "summer" mode - no liners. The thunderstorms were already brewing. I wanted to get the full treatment and boy did I. A short highway ride with partial venting proved just right in the heat. Once I hit the trail, I fully vented the jacket and pants, even opening the side zippers a touch on the pants. Perfect venting for the 15 mph max trail speed.  At the first crack of lighting and thunder in the distance, I knew I was in for it. I quickly sealed the vents when the first hail stones hit - LOTS of marble size hail pounded me but the jacket (and I) were unfazed.  Then the heavy rain hit as I rode under the storm - no problem - several people were agog to see me going by the hail filled, mud soaked, wet rocky
trail in perfect comfort. A highway ride to home on the now mud soaked bike and clothing and that was that. So there you have it - a perfect test of your X Moto combo - I can easily recommend this system for dual sporting!

Thanks again!

GT Air All Seasons Transition Jacket

I purchased a GT Air Transition Jacket & Ranger 2 Pants about this time last year.  I am impressed with the thoughtfulness of the design, the excellent quality, and overall value.
I decided yesterday that today would be the day I would test how well my Olympia gear handled the cold on my 45 mile commute.   I live in the Northeast.  This morning I left for work at 6:40 AM on my 2008 BMW F800ST.   The outside temperature ranged from 33 to 37 degrees on my route.  At the speed traffic was moving, I estimate wind chill at about 16 degrees Fahrenheit.   All the way in I was completely comfortable in my Olympia gear, and that is without putting the liner in the pants !   I did have the liner in the jacket though.  The only "problem" I had was that my feet got a little cold.  Not too bad, but next time I'll wear some warm socks.
Thank you for providing such exceptional gear at a price that definitely gives a person their money's worth !  I am a customer for life.

Sincerely

I bought one of your GT Air All Seasons Transition jackets from Coleman Powersports in Falls Church, Virginia, and I couldn't be happier that I did.  I wore the jacket naked, with mesh panels fully unzipped and open, throughout the hottest parts of a D.C. summer -- and as long as I was moving, I was comfortable and cool.  I've gotten caught in unexpected rainstorms several times -- and stayed dry and comfortable throughout.  Now that the weather's cooling down, I can wear the jacket with liner in the morning on my way to work.  It keeps me warm and comfortable at least down to the 40s. (it hasn't gotten any colder than that yet, but I'll let you know how the jacket performs when it does).  In the afternoon, I just unzip the liner and go back to the jacket with the mesh vents zipped up.  I haven't encountered any weather -- hot or cold, wet or dry -- that this jacket isn't suited to.  Thank you for a very versatile, very comfortable, very attractive piece of indispensable gear.  Your jacket is my favorite motorcycle accessory!

Best wishes --

Roger M, Alexandria, Virginia

I Just have to tell you how happy I am with the Purchase of my Olympia GT Air Transition Jacket. I Love it! It is very Comfortable and is perfect for any Ride. It is also made very well. I look forward to getting in many years of riding my bike with this Awesome Jacket!

Far too often the only feedback manufacturers or sales staff get are complaints about their products or service.  I want to deviate from that trend.  I purchased a men's GT Air All Seasons Transition Jacket after much debate over leather (which I've been wearing ever since I started riding) and the overwhelming selection of textile-based jackets.  I was not sure I'd feel comfortable in a textile jacket but the sales rep reassured me that I would not be disappointed, in particular with the Olympia GT Air.  Well, he was right. The jacket fit me like a comfortable pair of jeans (wait, I thought I bought a jacket!) with features that make it a truly versatile bike accessory.  I've worn it riding in the cold, in the rain, in the heat and have always been comfortable and protected.  Being a Thomas I doubted that a jacket could be perfect so I started getting very picky on my evaluation from all perspectives.   My observation -  it' is the PERFECT jacket! It's so well made, durable and comfortable that I'm not likely to buy another one in a long time (barring an accident ... jinx). This is not good for business, but perhaps I'll convince my friends to help out in that regard.

I just had to tell you all what a fantastic product you make. . . but you already know that! I ordered my GT Air Transition Jacket on a Wednesday, and had it in hand on Thursday, then wore it on a road trip to New England Friday. Temps were in the upper 80's - and humid. I hate riding hot, unless I am in the desert and in a purifying mode of self-discovery. I have to say, the mesh panel system in this jacket worked brilliantly for me, and I was comfortable in the widest range of conditions imaginable - hot super slab to cool forest twisties. Saturday night, a soft rain moved into the region, and the jacket was perfect again. Sunday, the temp was in the 60's, with intermittent rain on the highway -- I had the vent panels partially open and was comfortable and dry. I REALLY like the visibility of this piece! Between the neon red color and the reflective piping, I KNEW I was visible to the normally clueless cars. I even saw people about to drift into my lane sit bolt upright and get back into line when they caught a glimpse of this glowing red thing in their side view mirrors! I only wish I had found out about your products sooner. . . would have saved me a fortune on all the other jackets I have collected.

Next up: a Stealth one-piece in neon yellow!

Many thanks, Bill H., New Canaan, CT

Viper Mesh Tech Jacket

I just purchased your Viper jacket and Airglide 2 pants a couple of weeks
ago and as misfortune would have it, I hit a slick spot on a curve yesterday
and went down.  I was all geared up and came away with only a jammed thumb.
I was doing about 25 mph +/-  and had fairly minimal damage to my bike (2006
Buell Ulysses).  Your equipment worked as it should have. I'm  very grateful
and satisfied with your gear
. It's comfortable, functional and I love the
neon yellow accents on the jacket...not to mention the pants saved my knee.
It has made me a life-long customer without a doubt.

AST ¾ All Season Touring Jacket

I bought my AST jacket several years ago and have worn it for well over 150,000 miles of riding. It is, quite simply, the very best riding jacket I have ever worn, and I have been riding for over 50 years, so that is saying something significant.  It's been in almost every state in the union including such varied climates as Florida and Alaska and has performed flawlessly in all of them.  Excellent venting, fine liner, holds out the rain and keeps me warm when necessary. It's still going strong and I expect to wear it for lots more miles.  Thanks for a terrific product.

David W, Cedar Falls, IA

I just wanted to send off a note of thanks for making such a great jacket. Since purchasing my Olympia AST last September, it's been my constant companion. I've worn it in below freezing temperatures, temperatures in the 90's, rain, wind, sun, marble-sized hail (I pulled over for that one, but had no choice but to stand in it), and everything in between. It's been across several states; I wore it while riding "The Dragon", I wore it across Canada, and even far North in Quebec to the shores of the James Bay. I can't think of a better purchase I could have made. Thanks again!

Josh, Toledo, OH

I bought a "Day Glow Yellow" XXL AST jacket in 2005. Man it hurts my eyes in the sun. I get comments all the time like, "Is that jacket loud enough?" My usual response is, "You saw me right?"

I am 45 years old and ride a BMW 1200 GSA. 3M reflective stickers adorn my BMW factory cases. I'm all about being seen. This jacket has saved me from a rude landing on many occasions. It is warm and keeps me dry in the hardest rain. I feel well protected and never ride without it. The liner is easy on and easy off. I've ridden in 18 degree weather and never felt a chill.

Good stuff.

Thank you, David B, Houston, TX

Just got your AST coat and did my 1st 1K Iron-Butt ride in it. It rained non-stop from the start at 6am till 10pm. The coat worked great, not a drop of rain got inside!

AST Kudos -I have spent the last week riding in my new AST jacket, and combined with my Gerbings liner, have extended my New York/ Hudson Valley season at least a month on each end . Great jacket! Today I wore it all day in the city( in driving rain) with your liner and was warm and DRY.

Thanks

Thanks for making such a superb riding suit in your Olympia AST model.  I crash tested my 5-week old suit when I went deer hunting, motorcycling style, 3 weeks ago. The fact that all I suffered after a 50' fling off the bike after hitting Bambi at 50 mph was a compound fracture of the lower right leg is a real tribute to the AST. Superb stuff!!!! No road rash at all, and of course my new Nolan N102 also did its job exceptionally well. The only reason I'm buying a new Olympia Suit is that I had the EMTs cut off the jacket because of fractured ribs that hurt like hell at the time but are hardly noticeable today. I won't wear anything else in the current market.

Because I have a somewhat offbeat sense of humor, I have to tell you that the look on State Trooper's face immediately after the accident was priceless. The last thing I remembered was going though a busy intersection about 10th in a line of 20 or so vehicles. The next thing was seeing the trooper as he asked for my name, the date and if I knew where I was. I answered all three correctly and he looked relieved. He then said I'd hit a doe. I asked if it was dead. He said yes and I said good. He grinned and left me to the EMT's. I do believe that the only reason that I am laughing and getting ready for my new bike in March is because of the cocoon provided by your suit. It has amazed everyone who saw what happened that I escaped as undamaged as I did.

Thanks!!! Tom B - Williamsport, PA

I just wanted to let you know that the AST represents the best money I have ever spent. This jacket is awesome. I live in Michigan and commute 100 miles every day on my bike. I used to watch the weather every morning before deciding to ride my bike but now I just put on my jacket and ride. I now will be able to keep riding until the snow and ice arrives. This jacket adds three months to my riding season. It also makes me feel a lot safer on the road. Since I have started wearing it, I haven’t had any close calls where drivers who didn’t see me. I can’t begin to count the number of comments I have gotten on the neon color. Thanks for making a great product I highly recommend it to anyone that asks.

Matt S - Howell, MI

I have your men’s AST jacket and it is my favorite jacket. I have owned numerous motorcycle jackets including a custom made leather jacket. Your men’s Olympia AST jacket is the most comfortable & serviceable I have experienced. The bright yellow material insures that I am seen by inattentive motorists. I have ridden with the jacket in temperature ranges of 35~100 degrees F and find the jacket stays comfortable up to about 92 degrees F. I like the jacket so much that I am going to buy a 2nd jacket just to keep on hand so that when this one wears out (if ever) I will be assured I have a back-up in case they are no longer made.

I just returned from a 3200 kilometer trip through Morocco, all of it wearing a neon yellow AST touring jacket. Weather ranged from a torrential tropical downpour to hot days in the Sahara and to snowy mountain passes. The jacket was perfect! My European riding buddies were very impressed both with the performance of the jacket under such varied conditions and the  visibility -- they could see me kilometers away.

We love our riding gear!!!

I purchased your AST jacket and Ranger Pants in late February. I have tested this outfit out pretty well now, in cold and heat and during some serious rain heading to the Bash the other weekend.  I stayed dry and comfortable for the whole trip.  No leakage at all.  No crash testing however, although oil from someone’s blown engine on the Saturday Bash ride nearly gave me the chance to check that out also…..I just posted my Aerostitch for sale on the IBMWR want ads!

 Van W, Asheville NC

I just got an AST touring jacket and my wife and I got Ultra Tour light pants. We were at the wettest and coldest Americade rally in recent history and the gear was perfect for all occasions.  We didn't get wet with our liners in and we didn't need to stop to put our raingear on and off.  Our friend saw our outfits and was so impressed; he went to the local dealer and bought an AST outfit for himself!!!! Thanks so much for your fine products and for your help and advice. PS - I also have monsoon gloves and they have performed the best of any wet weather gloves I have ever used.

Just a short note about High Vis Jackets (AST):

I commute from Las Vegas to Los Angeles two to three times a month on my bike averaging 800+ miles or more per week. While in Los Angeles I was cut off by an excursion with a gentleman rambling on his cell phone. (none of us have ever seen this !)

For once in my life there was a cop when one was needed. He was a moto officer riding just off of my left elbow.  As the aforementioned oblivious driver pulled into a gas station I followed the officer in after him to make sure I was able to get my two cent worth in concerning the misfortunate maneuver. To my surprise the officer after gaining the distracted gentleman’s attention pointed at me and asked him if he was simply blind or was he intoxicated as no person could possibly miss the bright yellow jacket. The officer sent me on my way and I could only imagine the rest of the conversation. Thank You Olympia for helping a father come home to his wife and kids alive and well every night...

I recently bought one of your AST jackets (neon yellow & black).  I was looking for something brightly colored with some good contrast, reflection and CE pads.  The AST fit the bill perfectly.  I was first attracted to pick it up because it reminded me of the sturdy, protective "bunker" coats and brush-coats we used to use in my younger days as both a municipal and later wildland-forest firefighter.   On closer inspection I was most impressed by the long list of features.  A removable liner that can be worn alone; rainproof sealed seams; but most of all the well-engineered ventilation system!  I live in the "pineywoods" of deep East Texas and here it gets HOT and stays that way much of the year.  Staying cool is key to survival.  Since discovering the AST, I'm recommending it to all my friends.  In fact, I was so impressed that I even sold one to another customer in the store!  He was looking for a grey one.  I showed him all the features on mine and let him try it on because he wore the same size.  That was all it took.

I was lucky enough to purchase an AST jacket this week at the BMWMOA national rally.  I rode 1500 miles home and found it to be a GREAT moto jacket.  I rode through heat, and found the venting to be better then my previous mesh jacket.  I rode in rain and found the jacket to be better then my previous "water proof jacket, even though I didn't get all the vents closed before the downpour. I love the pockets and all the thought that went into the double closure openings.  All of this and a color that attracts attention!  I call the color Chernobyl yellow.

Thanks, Joe

Greetings from the High Country of Colorado ,

After two seasons my wife and I couldn’t be more pleased with our AST jackets and ProMax and Ranger pants.  Your Hi-Viz Yellow is the perfect way to add conspicuicity to our varied backgrounds including forest, sky and mountains.  We’ll do anything to attract attention to ourselves given the number of tourists, I mean guests in our part of the world.

As a professional in the ski industry, I’m very familiar with the advantages of hi-tech, well made outerwear, and after 30+ years in the business, I can be a rather cranky customer.  I’ll put OMS as equal to any manufacturer in the ski or mountaineering outerwear business.

Thanks for offering some great products.

I purchased an Olympia men's AST Neon Yellow Jacket and Ranger 2 pants from Desimone which saved my skin, literally.  I was going down RT73 south in Winslow on 12/8 around 6:15 PM (dark) when a small white pickup truck pulled out in front of me.  They never stopped before pulling out of the driveway or they would have seen me, and  NO !, the person never stopped, they kept on driving.  They had to see the sparks from my bike as it slid behind them.  This area is 55 mph, which I was doing.  I hit the brakes hard and tried to avoid them (which I did) but the bike went out from under me.  I landed on my left side and slid and rolled twice on my sides while the bike continued sliding down the road.  (Also blessed that no one was behind me to run me over!)
Without the jacket and pants I would have been in the hospital for sure.  As it turned out I drove away with only bruising to my left hip, left ankle, right knee and left elbow.  And zero road rash.
I can't say enough about wearing good protective gear, and Olympia makes a great product.  I've already purchased a replacement set from Desimone as my jacket got a hole in the left sleeve, and the pants zippers are unusable in several places from skidding on them.  Better that than my skin and bones and hospital time.  I believe the padding helped take some of the impact off of my body in the hip, knees and elbow.

Thank you for selling good equipment.

I've got your AST touring jacket in neon yellow. Love the jacket by the way.
Used it on my honeymoon in everything from below freezing to over 100 degree
weather.
Had some rain, sleet, and snow thrown in for good measure.  The
jacket performed great.

Thanks,

My wife and I are now looking at a second OMS jacket.  Our ASTs have been to Alaska, managed Canadian west coast winter riding, and saved us from being hit by a car.  The driver came up to us later and said she didn't see the bikes but she did see the jackets.  She told us she would have hit us if it weren't for our hi-vis yellow Jackets.  I would like to praise you for one more thing.  The pricing of your product. In Canada pretty much  everything comes in through an exclusive distributor, and my experience is that the distributor hikes the price way up. I know you don't have an exclusive distributor for Canada and this is why you got my business.  By dealing direct with retail shops, I'm paying less for your products.  Any way we like how you're doing business and we are looking at jacket number two now.

 Cheers

Phantom One Piece Suit

I am pleased and impressed with the Phantom suit through every stage in the

15 months I have owned it, including two week-long multi-state tours.  The manufacturing and material quality is equal or better to my AeroStitch or Hein Gericke Cordura jackets.  The included armor and reflective surfaces are what we now expect from the latest tehcnology riding gear.  I think it could compete at a higher price range, but the Phantom was also a bargain. In the gray and black, I even think it looks good.  Yellow may be safer, but I think with all the Scotchlite reflective surfaces integrated into the suit, my conscience is still clear.

For all weather conditions, this suit is versatile.  In a light thunderstorm with a mix of city and highway roads, this suit did not leak at all for me, and I did not even bother with the flaps over the zippers.  The venting is very effective, but reaches its limits in desert heat, like any non-perforated gear.  The venting is effective enough to make good use of a water absorbing vest on the very hot days.  When the weather approaches freezing levels and my cousin plugs in his electric vest, I am comfortable with closing the vents and wearing a fleece jacket underneath with a neck scarf to keep my chin warm at 35°F.

In short, excellent design and execution.  If someone stole my suit, I would go right back to the Olympia dealer and get another.

Thanks,

Dan, Northridge, CA

Just an update on my Phantom (Hi Viz) suit, you helped size for me (spent some time on the phone with me). We were in the middle of moving from Louisiana to Colorado when the suit arrived. Have not had a chance to "try" it out until last week and today.

Spent one day last week riding my "little" RS through north-central Oklahoma and south-central Kansas, temperature varied from 70 to 94 degrees during the ride. Removed the liner at the start of the trip, very comfortable all day long. Did open the vents later in the day. I made a big impression at a restaurant in Sedan, Kansas several people remarked on how visible I was!! Especially a Harley ride and his wife.

Left Longmont this morning (new home, on the LT) temp 54 degrees, with liner. Stopped in Ft. Collins (this afternoon) on the way home at "Beemers & More" (an Olympia dealer and a very nice shop), removed the liner, and bought a pair of your all season riding gloves (you guys are costing me a lot of money - - well spent). Long story short LOVE the suit!! Had lots of comments everywhere I stopped!!

Simply want to thank you for making a quality product at a reasonable price!!!
As I see it the other manufacturers of riding suits have a problem if the word gets out about your suits!!

thanks again,
Radar, Colorado

I’m a first-time, rider who’s highly concerned with safety, so the hi-viz Phantom suit looked like it was right up my alley. I haven’t been disappointed.  It’s clear that somewhat inattentive (or sloppy) drivers see me coming and stop doing things like rolling through the stop signs.  It’s also been great for winter riding.  Last week I spent an hour cruising along in comfort in 25 degree temps — with just jeans and a t-shirt on underneath the suit and liner.  Tons of pockets, loads of wickedly sticky velcro, and a pretty good fit for what is really an off-the-rack piece of clothing.  The suit is comfy to wear, and definitely windproof when all the zippers and velcro are closed. I’ve ridden a couple of times at 50 or 60 degrees and opened up the arms and chest for some ventilation. The suit ventilates nicely.  External pockets are easy to open with gloves on, and there are a bunch of internal pockets — both on the suit and its liner — for things like cell phones, wallets, etc.
Finally, I plan on doing a fair amount of commuting with the suit, and I’ve gotten in and out of it enough times now to know that it’s pretty easy to get it on/off while wearing regular work clothes.  The trick is to zip the legs open all the way up to the hip so that stepping through the suit is simple and easy.
All in all, a great riding suit backed up with super customer service.

Christmas came early for me today.  I had been thinking of  purchasing a one-piece suit and when I came across the Olympia Phantom, I  thought I would give it a go.

I have gone for the dashing bright yellow version as I do a lot of late  dark night miles coming home from  work on country roads and through the winter with lots of drivers who keep  saying sorry mate, dint see you, so thought this was the safe option.

I do a lot of miles here in Scotland and the weather can be very unforgiving at times. One moment wet, the next cold and if you are driving for a long time the sun will come out from time to time. You  will end up taking off or putting on differing layers depending on the  conditions. The Phantom suit comes into it's own here as it is well  ventilated and comfortable to wear with or without the inner suit depending on how cold it is.  I normally wear it with just my ordinary  work clothes in the Autumn. Now that it's a lot colder, I also wear the inner  suit with a T shirt  and thick socks. I can say I have not  been cold once. The suit has not let me down once in the rain and I have  always arrived home warm and dry.

I bought my suit from Bob's BMW in the States and I am very pleased with them.

The above was written a couple of months ago and I have had time to  test all the properties of the suit properly.  I can only say that I am  very impressed with the quality and the performance of this suit. I  have been riding for nearly thirty years and have worn all kinds of  motorcycling clothing. I really like this one piece suit for it's  comfort and it does keep you warm and dry.

If you are looking for a good all round touring suit or a one-piece  suit for every day use I would add this to your wish list.

 Ian R. T., Scotland (BMW R1200gs)

I just wanted to say thanks for creating the Olympia Phantom suit in neon yellow. I've used mine for heavy duty travel for several months now on California highways as well as for fast travel in Nevada. Whether it is hammering over the Sierra summits or threading through grid-locked highways this is one of my favorite purchases in over 35 years of riding. Worth every penny and then some. The fluorescent color works great - I can see right away how the cagers around me can see me (for a change). The quality is outstanding too. I expected it to be bright, but I didn't expect it to be this well made - the best! I have to say it takes some getting used to if I'm going into a store where civilians inevitably gawk at the bright color. I don't care. I want to keep riding as long as I can and whatever I can do to load the dice in my favor to stay visible I will do, and this does the trick better than anything I know. It works especially well in rainy or overcast weather, when I am by far the brightest thing on the highway. I bet you are going to save some lives with this suit, and that is something serious you should be proud of. The suit is easy to get into and out of (thanks for the extra long zippers!) and fits great over my work clothes. I ride a black BMW K1200S and I appreciate the good aerodynamics for faster cruise speeds. Way to go! Thank you!

Best regards,

Dimitri Rotow, Incline Village, Nevada

I'm dropping you a line to let you know about my experience  with my new Phantom suit.  I love it!!!  I  got a chance to spend a long day on the  bike and get acquainted with the suit. The temperature ranged from the  low 50's to the upper 80's and I must say that w/o the liner and the vents all buttoned up I was quite toasty riding in the cooler temps. I can safely say that once the cold weather hits, riding with the liner in  will produce the same results. As the temperature rose vents got opened.  I especially appreciate the arm vents, they're nice and long and really make a difference when on the move. When I add the chest and  back  vents,  I'm  very comfortable  as the temps climb. The air flows through  the suit nicely, but not so much that the back of the suit balloons. The  suit is very comfortable on the bike.  I feel less restricted than I ever have with 2 piece suits (I wished I'd tried a one piece sooner) and  the legs are long so the don't ride up on my boots. Custom tailored  suits are nice, but the way my weigh fluctuates, I'll forgo the expense and use the various straps on the Phantom to tweak mine as necessary.  I haven't ridden  in the rain with the suit yet, but I had my teenage daughter blast  me with the garden hose  fully decked out in all my gear  (I do believe she took some perverse pleasure in that!) and after about 15-20 minutes I hadn't discovered any leaks.

Thank you for producing an affordable riding suit that's chock full of features. I now have a closet full of used textile gear for sale if you're interested!

I had been planning to purchase a one-piece riding suit for some time now and after seeing a brief write up in a major motorcycle magazine I decided to purchase the Phantom suit for an up coming trip to Rhode Island to visit my daughter. Fit and finish was very good. Plenty of venting, pockets, and armor protection in all the right places.

After some 3500 miles on this trip I feel I can make a statement on this suit. I normally wear a size large but ordered an XL instead. Reason? For cold weather this leaves enough room for added insulation (over the supplied liner) without restricting the insulating air space. Also in hot weather this allowed for air to circulate inside the suit and keep things cool. I experienced temps from the high 90's to the low 70's. At the upper end at a dead stop things did get a little warm. At no time did it get as warm as a full leather suit in the same condition. Face it, everything is a trade off. Once above 20 mph the air flow got things comfortable again. In lower temps, it was simple matter to close off some of the vents to keep things in the right temp range. Comfort of the suit under these conditions was excellent.

In closing I strongly recommend this suit as an alternative to others on the market. It offers construction, features, and protection at a very reasonable price.
Thank you for an outstanding product. I have no regrets purchasing the Phantom suit. If I can be of future service please let me know. Also I have enclosed a photo just prior to leaving Matunuck beach R.I. on my trusty 88 model K75S headed back to Baton Rouge.

Sincerely,
Rick H, Baton Rouge, La.

Stealth One Piece Suit

I have and extensively use one of your Stealth one piece suits (purchased from MotoLiberty in San Antonio).  It is one of my favorite pieces of gear.  The blistering summer we just experienced really put that suit to the test, and to say the least, I'd fight before giving it up.  Nathan at MotoLiberty tells a good story about a friend of his completely destroying an aged Gold Wing while doing an admirable job of keeping up with he and some of his other friends on a very twisty road (the others were riding Ducatis and such).  He just happened to be wearing a Stealth suit at the time and hit a mid-corner bump while dragging everything the old 'Wing had to offer, which resulted in it soon shredding itself into hundreds of practically unrecoverable pieces.  According to Nathan, he dusted himself off, walked away, and still uses the suit.  As with all good war stories, there may be a bit of exaggeration, but it is an excellent testament to your product.

Nova Mesh Tech Safety Vest

I have been looking for a good looking motorcylce safety vest for the new season and came across a photo and video of your Nova vest online. I saw you sold your products through a local dealer here in Ottawa (Ottawa Good Time) and went and bought one today. It is a great vest - even better than advertised. Just wanted to let you know that you have a very satisfied customer.

Andrew G , Ottawa ON

I purchased your hi-vis vest about a year ago after seeing another rider wearing one.  The quality is superior to anything else I have found on the market and it dramatically improves my ability to be seen while riding, day or night.  Before the vest I had more than one close call from a motorist pulling out in front of me.  Since I started wearing it, I have not had a single incident.  Thanks for making such a great product.

Usually when I sit down to write a letter or an email it is because someone or some company has ticked me off. I am happy to say that this does not hold true for this email. I recently ordered one of your mil-spec safety vests through Charlie Company. It was a neon red and black in 3-4X. I just wanted to say congratulations on making such a fine product. I was very happy with the construction quality.

I am an Aircraft Turbine Engine mechanic for Honeywell. I am fully aware of what a quality product is supposed to be and you have met the requirements. Once again congratulations on a fine product.

Just a note of appreciation regarding the Airglide Jacket I recently  purchased from BMW of Oregon in Tigard, OR.  I purchased the jacket in  the BRIGHT "Toxic" color, because I wanted to be seen more easily.  Besides the fit and finish of the Airglide 3, I am convinced that the color scheme has helped me be noticed by in-attentive drivers, and has saved me from at least one potential accident.  Thanks for being "brave" enough to offer the product in this color scheme. I also particularly appreciate the rolled-edge neck, the pockets and the independent wearability of the waterproof liner.  A great product.

I recently got back from a years long trip - Asheville NC to Ushuaia Argentina and back. I just wanted to let you know that your Airglide jacket was one of the few pieces of gear that I never had to worry about. It did great through Mexican deserts, torrential rains in Central America, and the sleet/snow/rain I ran into in the Andes - all kinds of weather. You guys have a great system that kept me comfortable and feeling safe through it all.
Now its time to get some gear for my wife and we're going with Olympia. Thanks for a great - and affordable - product!

I have owned an Airglide jacket for 4 years now and I really love it.

I actually had an accident that involved me sliding about 40ft on my side and back on a paved road, not only did the jacket prevent serious injury but it's built so well you can't even tell where it contacted the road!  One of the EMT's even wanted to know where I got my jacket. Keep up the good work!

Just wanted to drop you a line regarding your hi-vis Airglide jacket. Thanks for creating a truly superb jacket at a reasonable price. I have 3 leather jackets ,2 vented, and a mesh jacket from another manufacturer and I don't wear anything else but your jacket, I love it. Everybody I ride with wants to know about this jacket, what's it like, is it cool, where did I get it, etc, etc. My girlfriend says it's the coolest thing I own. I think it gets more attention than my new Royal Star. Keep up the good work.

For our recent motorcycle trip through Mexico and Central America I needed a riding jacket to cover all the temperature ranges and provide safety in incase we had an unscheduled “get off” on the Pan-American highway. The riding gear had to ventilate well for the extreme heat and humidity but still provide some kind in insulating layer for the cold. I pick an Olympia Air Glide jacket for the trip. It held up extremely well during weeks of riding in all kinds of weather. It resisted all the unbelievable road grime – smoke from garbage fires, diesel fumes, exhaust from a million VW Beetle taxis – and with a quick wash in the laundry tub it was just like new. I never had a zipper fail or a seam come loose. The detachable liner acted as a jacket when I went out at night and protected me from the early morning frost in Nogales. The 3M reflective piping provided lots of additional visibility at night – yes I know you are not supposed to ride at night in Mexico but coming into Mazatland we had to ride for 2 hours after dark -  but if you have to it’s nice to know you light up like a Christmas tree ! The jacket was comfortable to wear for long hours and the pockets are laid out in such a way as getting things like the digital camera out for photos was a breeze. The best thing I could say about the Olympia Air Glide jacket is I am keeping mine for summer use here in Canada and would recommend any of my riding buddies heading south to purchase one for their trip.

BTW: Thanks for making a great product !!

I was riding home from work today when I had to make a panic stop from about 35 mph. My front brake locked up on a small oil patch and the bike went down before I could react. The left side of my body hit the road first and I rolled once as the bike continued to slide forward about 10 feet. Fortunately, I was wearing Airglide 2 jacket and pants. My left knee took the initial impact followed by my left hip and shoulder. The jacket and pants were torn up, but they thankfully prevented any serious injury. All I got was a bump on my knee and VERY minor bruising on my hip and shoulder. I've enclosed photos of the jacket and pants.

All I can say is I'm glad I was wearing Olympia gear and I will purchase your products again to replace the damaged ones. As an aside, many people have made positive comments about the visibility of the jacket. I feel much better with it on.

I am writing this letter to thank you for a wonderful product.

Last year, after much debate about leather vs. mesh, and trying on different products, my husband and I both bought Airglide jackets and pants. We have both been impressed with the comfort of our gear, both in hot (100 F) and cold (42 F) temperatures. Also, they slip easily over scrubs for the commute to work!

On July 29th, my husband put your gear to the ultimate test. He was in an accident that probably should have, by most professional opinions, taken his life. While riding on a winding country road with friends, my husband was struck in the head by a large buzzard leaving some road kill. After having been knocked unconscious, he left the road at approximately 60-70 mph, hit a barbed wire fence, 3-8 inch cedar posts, and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The sum total of his injuries was a severe concussion, broken left scaphoid bone (wrist), superficial lacerations to the neck and right wrist, and abrasions on his right abdomen. Truly, we feel like a lack of gauntlet-type gloves is to blame for the right wrist. M husband was no wearing any protection on his neck, either, and those lacerations required staples. However, the truly amazing thing is that the gear was shredded, but my husband is not. It should also be noted that he suffered no breaks at the bones protected by his armored gear, as well.

I often wondered what would happen to me in my mesh gear if I laid my bike down. Needless to say, I never gave barbed wire a second thought. But after seeing how well the gear protected my husband over a month ago, I don’t have any doubts that I would be okay. Tonight, my husband is going to meet with his friends, the incredible members of the ZRX Owner’s Association. They are going to present my husband with a cash gift that will help him replace all of his gear. I have no doubt in my mind that he will again choose Olympia, as you have made us both believers in your label and in mesh as well!

Again, many, many, thanks for an excellent product. Please feel free to share our story with others, and put the good word out! This stuff works!

This winter my wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas,to say that this suit of yours has been just what was needed. The liner was warm on colder than usual days and it’s been watertight when raining just as was advertised. What was a Plus was the Comfort and Style that made it such a pleasure to wear.

Then came Americade and once again Rainy Cold Weather with some nice days thrown in on Monday and Tuesday. The liner came out for a Rain Jacket and Pants at the Expo, which I got Compliments on by the way, and the liner-less suit was excellent riding-ware on the warm days.

Then after a long ride in mixed weather on Thursday the unthinkable happened. After stopping for a red light at a busy intersection, the light turned green and as we rounded the corner BAMB! From across two lanes of stopped traffic a Pickup Truck darted out in front of my wife and I and as I tried to evade and brake on the damp pa

I told her the Air Glide pants from Pioneer Motorsports that Pat the salesperson had shown me. She surprised me with them. Then in April she asked what I wanted for my 54th Birthday and I said that the Air Glide Jacket to match the pants would be nice! Once again she came through.

Now with the Cold and Rainy weather we've had this spring, I have

vement the front tire slipped out and we where "lowsided" and down. I remember hitting the pavement hard and hearing the sound of scraping metal and plastic as my Concours slid and hit the curb, which resulted in a "highside" onto its other side. But I was able to get to my feet and to my wife lying in the street. We were both OK!  After I thought for a minute I looked at my wife and said "Wow this suit did its Job!" I remember feeling the hit to the ground on my shoulder and hip but not a sharp blow. The armor padding was in the correct places and took the blow not me. It also sustained only minor damage.

Thanks for a Great Product!   Now I Know what my Wife is getting for her Birthday and Christmas, An Olympia Womens Air Glide Suit!

My AirGlide pants literally saved my butt (and my knee, and my leg........) I purchased a pair of the Air Glide 2 mesh pants last month. The full length zippers on each leg were the deciding factor for me when trying different pants on. I love how easy it is to get in and out of these pants. Their comfort and functionality are also great. Shortly after purchasing the pants I had a pretty nasty accident involving a guard rail. The impact to my right leg had enough force with the rail to shred the Cordura as well as split the foam armor in the knee. I don't want to think about what would have happened had I been wearing anything less. The bike was totaled but thanks to my all of my protective gear, including the Air Glide 2 pants, and a ton of luck I was able to walk away from this accident with a broken arm and hand but not so much as a scratch below the waist. The pants held up so well that after having the Cordura replaced on the right knee I continue to wear the same pants now that I have healed and started riding again. As for the damaged armor I was pleasantly surprised to make a call to order a replacement only to have Olympia send me a complimentary replacement.

The quality of the Olympia gear combined with that type of service makes this gear a great value at twice the price. I'll gladly recommend it to anyone, anytime.

Today my wife and I hit a patch of ice on a mountain road in California and the bike left us. We slid on the pavement on our bellies & forearms. Nothing under our jackets got hurt. My wife wore your Airglide Jacket and I wore the Monterey. Our knees got banged up but we were wearing jeans. We should have been wearing the Ranger pants that we recently purchased. They have kneepads. We really love your product.

Thank you for your good work,

Don & Jeanne G, CA

I am now on my second set of Airglide jacket and pants since I had the unfortunate opportunity to test their abrasion qualities and armor. I tucked the front end of my bike when I hit sand in a corner and went down at about 35 mph. The Airglide outfit did its job and held together well enough to leave me unscathed by the slide. This is an excellent product in looks, fit AND protection. Keep up the good work.

I just wanted to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed your Airglide jacket. I’ve been riding for over 25 years and this is the most comfortable, well made, and well-fitting bike jacket I’ve ever owned. I rode 900 miles in 90 – 100+ heat in this jacket the week I bought it, and was just amazed at how cool I stayed (at least while moving..;) on my Gold Wing, which at that point didn’t even have the air wings installed. Now that our pseudo-winter has arrived, I started using the liner jacket in the morning and am perfectly comfortable even (so far) down to 42 degrees outside.

Thanks,

Joe Bemrich, Flower Mound, TX

I’ve only been riding about 10 years, but after purchasing my first Olympia mesh suit I must say BRAVO!  The cool features you’ve thought of seem so obvious…now that you’ve built them in. That’s a sign of real innovation. Wonderful attention to detail and application of real riding experience into the products. BTW, MotoLiberty was very knowledgeable of your products and quite an advocate!! I purchased from them online ( I live in CA) and they were wonderful as your retailer.  Again, thank you and congratulations.

I just wanted to tell you folks how great your Airglide jacket and Ranger pants are.  In 2003 I logged over 24,000 miles touring the USA, from New Jersey to Key West to the Grand Canyon and up through the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park, the Big Sky country of Montana, the Black Hills of South Dakota and back home through the High Plains and Midwest, I encountered just about every weather condition from 26 degrees to 100 degrees.  Your jacket and pants are so versatile I just had to let you know.

The venting on the jacket allowed me to ride in a T-shirt on warm days, and by adding the full lining and an insulated sweater I could ride all day at 39 degrees.  Having the versatility and the temperature range from below 40 to the high 90’s was terrific. Using the insulation liner as a street jacket was a smart idea… all in all it allowed me to pack more gear and less clothes… and I don’t have to tell you how important gear is when you’re in the middle of nowhere or riding 800 miles a day for a week.

I own a small fortune in leathers, ride a BMW 1200 LTC for touring, a Harley and a lightning quick Honda1100XX for local rides, and I use your stuff on all three.  As a result a few of my friends have given up their leathers and now own the Airglide jacket.  Thanks for the workmanship and design, kudos to your team!

Sincerely,

Stephen K.

I had an "off" this past weekend losing focus and taking a turn too hot. I am writing to thank you for making such a wonderful product. I always felt safe in your gear but you never know until you have the unfortunate experience of testing it. The actual impact occurred just off the road in a ditch which helped but I credit your gear (and some luck) to me having zero injuries. I was wearing your AirGlide jacket and pants, Olympia vented Kevlar gloves & an Arai helmet. Thanks again for making such great gear.

Thanks again for your very helpful information. I visited Carolina BMW on Saturday and after looking at all your products I purchased the Airglide 2 jacket and pants. I also purchased the Xtreme Gel gloves for summer riding. All I can say is WOW! Your products are very well made with attention to detail. I really like the features of the jacket and pants that allow the great airflow in these summer months and the liners will provide the warmth I will need in the winter months. Having worn only a couple other products from ICON, Joe Rocket and AGV Sport I can truly say you get what you pay for. I can definitely tell the difference. Hopefully I will never need the many safety features of your clothing but it gives me peace of mind when riding that I am protected.

Signed a very happy Olympia customer,

Glenn H, Greensboro, NC

The wife and I, riding our 2003 Ultra Classic, were involved in an accident where a SUV type vehicle crossed in front of us and stopped in the intersection. With the idea of hitting the car in a t-bone fashion being out of the question to me, to many horror stories played in my mind. I made the decision to lay the bike down.

I was very thankful that we were both wearing full safety gear. We never ride without it. I don’t just mean a helmet but also an Olympia Airglide jacket, gloves, and over the ankle boots. Because of the safety gear during the slide I was thinking this sucks but it really doesn’t hurt. My biggest concern was how my wife was fairing. When we stopped I realized I had probably broken ribs on my right side. Rolling over I saw the wife standing over me asking how I was. That truly amazed me, as it appeared that she was uninjured.

I expected road rash and far worse but beside the bumps and bruises from the blunt force trauma we were all but unmarked. The safety gear had literally saved our skin. My jacket was scuffed and battered but did not tear. Unfortunately, it had to be cut off by the emergency personnel. Her jacket was only slightly scuffed and she plans to always ride with it in the future. To attest to the rough handling these jackets withstood my right boot was worn through the laces and leather all way to the toe protector and my helmet was ground down to the bondo in two places with big scrapes across the face shield.

I cannot begin to thank your teams enough for the design and function of these jackets. I stand up and profess the greatness of your jackets to everyone that ask about the accident. I have converted at least two couples in our HOG group to the benefits of riding in safety gear already. I also supplied the remains of the jacket to the motorcycle safety class instructors at Central Texas Harley Davidson to use as a training tool in the benefits of riding with protective equipment. You can bet I will be going back to get another jacket and another set of gloves before I ride again. Thanks and keep up the great work.

Last year on June 8th I went down while riding off road on my V strom.

I was traveling a little above 50 MPH going up a rise through a washout area.   It was full of sharp rocks of various sizes and shapes.   There was also a patch of deep wet sand.   I flipped over the handle bars when I hit the sand.   I came down on my face and left shoulder.  I proceeded to tumble through the washout.  My riding buddy said I rolled at least 4 times.  The bike then landed on my chest.  (ouch)

Your Airglide jacket performed so well that I didn't have a scratch on me.  The armor stayed exactly where it was supposed to.  Due to the accident I decided to get out of motorcycling for awhile.  I sold the jacket.  It was still in great shape after the wreck.

Thanks for making a great durable product.  Now that I am getting ready to ride again I will be purchasing another one of your products.

 Thanks again.

Ladies Airglide Mesh Tech Jacket

In June 2005 my husband and I purchased your Airglide Multi Function Systems Pant in Silver from Carl's Cycle Sales in Boise, Idaho.  We had been looking for a long time for good touring pants that were not black. We used the pants on a ride from John Day, Oregon to Mt. Rushmore, So Dakota in early July.  I was impressed with the pants when I tried them on for the first time. The sizes we ordered fit perfectly.  After the ride I was really impressed.  I wore a pair of shorts under the liners or the outer mesh pants.  A quick shedding of one or both and I was ready for walking and sightseeing.  It was really hot one day, 110, and the venting of the mesh kept me comfortable, and I still felt I had a measure of safety. In the cool of the morning, the liners were cozy.  One evening I just wore the liners as sport pants, and they look classy.  I would recommend these pants in a heartbeat.

Sincerely,

Cheryl B.

I  really like my Airglide jacket and get many compliments on it when I go on group rides. (I drive a Vespa Scooter.) Many other women have asked me about it and a few have even tried mine on.

I was really skeptical about wearing it in the heat (I live in Stockton, CA where it can get quite hot in the summer) but I have worn it in 100+ and the ventilation is great. Of course I get a little hot when I have to sit and wait for traffic lights to turn green but that doesn't last long. Some people ask why I wear a jacket like that when it's so hot and my reply is "Protection". And I feel protected when I wear the Airglide.

Thanks again,

Joyclin H, Stockton, CA

I recently purchased a Airglide jacket and pants set by Olympia. I have to tell you I LOVE them. The fit is perfect, and even on the hottest days I am comfortable in full armor. Thank you for that!

The removable liners make it easy to go from the early morning cold, to sunny and hot afternoons, AND they are waterproof!

I appreciate the fact that Olympia has designed riding gear to fit a woman's body. Until now a woman riders choices were limited to men's designs.

I have a closet full of riding gear that I have purchased over the years, and I have to say nothing compares to my Air Glides!

 Best Regards,

Jody

I just wanted to tell you how much I love this jacket! It was difficult for me to find a jacket that I thought I could fit into, as so many of them are a 'feminine fit' that means you must be 36-24-36. I'm not. I'm 50, and the body ain't what it used to be. I wanted a jacket with the option of allowing more room at the waist. I wanted a jacket that looked good; was multi-seasonal; made with quality, and would protect me even though I was "only riding a ". (The scooter does go up to 75 mph).

I found all these attributes in the Ladies Airglide 2 Mesh Tech jacket. I bought mine on-line from Moto-Liberty. They had a nice review on it, btw... if you haven't read it, I have to say, it's what convinced me to purchase the jacket. It's a size XL; Neon Yellow. I wanted the neon yellow so that I had the best chance at being visible delivers! I, and it is exceptionally visible in the twilight hours... and with the reflective trim, I believe it gives me the best opportunity for other drivers to see me.. I live in an area with lots of forest and curvy, hilly roads, so 'standing out' is a good, and necessary thing.

As far as the fit goes, it is great! Just so you know, I am 5'4 and 190 lbs. (yeah, a diet, I know) I wear size 18, or usually XL or XXL tops, depending on the manufacturer. The jacket fits snuggly (I don't have the back protector in it) especially around the waist.. and I have to let out the zippers at the hips, but then it fits just fine. The waist and elbow fit details are great. And as for those zippers at the hips- thankyouveryverymuch! It is truly, exactly what I was looking for in a jacket. I like 'options'.. and this jacket provides them. These jackets should be able to accommodate quite a wide range of riders, in different seasons, and again, I thank-you for thinking in that direction.

Now that the weather is changing, I can wear the liner in the early morning, and quickly take it out for my ride home, in the afternoon. The mesh works very well to keep me cool. I am so happy to have this jacket!

 Good day to you!

MJ in PA

Bushwhacker ¾ Mesh Tech Systems  Jacket

I have been a motorcycle commuter for 40+ years.  I am riding my 27th motorcycle.  I travel about 30k miles on my bikes per year.  I have ridden in all weather extremes.  I believe the Bushwhacker jacket has keep many drivers from pulling out in front of me both in left and right hand turns.  I bought the jacket in HI-Vis green after seeing a biker in one on the expressway in Atlanta.  He stuck out like a searchlight in a coal mine and it was a during the day!  I ordered the jacket that day.  Sure it's not a fashion statement color wise  but not a day goes by that a driver doesn't look once and then look again because the jacket color catches their eye.  The ventilation and the liner make it a great 3 season jacket.  I use a full mesh jacket in the summer here in Florida.

You are spot on with your air glide over pants.  Easy on off, looks good enough for a restaurant, comfortable in the riding position.  Cooler in summer than jeans and much more protection in a fall off.  Your products are first rate and stand up to my daily use without problems.  Most products made in China are not well done but you must have found a good manufacturer as I cannot fault the construction quality one bit. I have also had the opportunity to try all sorts of motorcycle cloths.

Rick G, Zephyrhills, Florida

While wearing a bushwhacker jacket I struck a full size deer at 60 mph+ riding a Honda Magna 750, killing the dear and causing me to come off the bike and slide down the very rough country road. After sliding for what seemed like years I came to a stop in the middle of the road, quickly collected myself and walked to the shoulder. Upon taking inventory of my injuries I noticed my upper body was absolutely injury free, the coat certainly had some wear in multiple places but there was not a scratch on me. unfortunately I opted to wait until next year to buy the Airglide pants and my lower extremities were only protected by jeans. All in all I suffered a broken right pinky and road rash on my right lower leg and left knee. Considering the speed and impacting a full size deer I was amazed that I literally walked away. I have re-examined my decision to wait until next year for the Airglide pants and I replaced the coat due to the wear. I never ride without my OMS gear, and hopefully I am done with the real world testing of these amazing products.

My family and I thank you,

 Jansen S , NY

This is a first for me in many ways, as you shall soon see.  Although I am often pleased with many of the various items I purchase, I have never written the manufacturer about what a great product they have until now.  I began motorcycling two years ago and my wife and I thoroughly love riding two up.  We now take our summer vacations on two wheels and ride an average of 15,000 miles per year as we have found it so addicting.  We had already purchased our leathers and did not spare much expense in doing so as well as buying Draggin' Jeans for more protection.  We also wear full face helmets.  However abrasive resistant leather is, it does not afford us any armor protection in the areas you often land if you have an accident.  Therefore, we recently purchased a Bushwhacker coat for me and a ladies Airglide II coat for my wife.  I was back in the same store last week looking at the overpants that accompany the coats and found a pair in my size.  I was wondering whether to buy the silver or the black and would wait until I spoke with my wife as to what colors we should get.  My wife was scheduled for surgery this week in the same city as the store previously mentioned and I was to meet her at the hospital on my motorcycle when a young buck materialized out of nowhere.  I did not have a chance to stop or slow down and broadsided the deer at 65 mph.  Miraculously both the deer and I survived but my new Gold Wing did not.  Believe it or not, I was pondering whether or not I would have enough time to stop at the store to buy the Olympia Moto Sports overpants before I met her at the hospital before her surgery.  My helmet needs to be replaced. I have taken my Bushwhacker coat to a leather worker repair shop to see if they can patch both elbows where I had worn through them down to the armor.  My only regret is that I wished that I had purchased your pants and had worn them as my Draggin' Jeans were both worn through the knees and the Kevlar and the huge bruise I now sport on my left hip where I landed before tumbling down the highway would not be there or would be substantially smaller if I had purchased and worn the pants.  The outcome was no broken bones only a broken motorcycle and a valuable lesson learned.  Your products are top-notched, I just wish I had owned more of them.

My wife and I are very pleased with the riding outfits we purchased recently, Airglide 2 jacket and Mustang jeans for her and Bushwacker jacket, Airglide pants and Mustang jeans for me. I just returned from a trip to the BMWMOA rally in Vermont, and the Bushwacker jacket and Airglide pants handled everything from the stop-and-go furnace of I-80 south of Chicago to the cool, steady rain of the Green Mountains with aplomb.

Thanks for a fine product line and for all your help and patience in helping us get the right garments and fit.

Best regards, Dennis G - Fairfield, IA

 Recon Transformer Jacket & Pants

I recently ordered a Recon jacket and pants from you and wanted to offer some positive feedback. The suit is fantastic. The quality of the workmanship is exceptional as is the fit. The sizes are true. Also both the jacket and pants are very innovative in the way the vents work and there are tons of pockets. The armor seems to be in just the right places.  I am looking forward to my first ride.   Thanks for the good work. I will be ordering a suit for my wife soon.

Paul S.  Laguna Niguel CA.

I want to take a moment to thank you for providing wonderful protective riding gear. I went down on my GoldWing at about 55mph in the rain, while wearing your Recon jackets and pants. I slid and rolled to a stop, and stood up unharmed. The jacket is only scuffed at the bottom edge where it attaches to the pants. The pockets of the pants are torn and worn through where my keys were in my pockets. I was unharmed. Not a scratch! (a few sore ribs a couple days later.) I will have the pants patched and I have washed both and will continue to wear them. Thanks so much for saving my hide.
